La Agencia para la Cooperación y la Investigación para el Desarrollo (ACORD) plantea la continuidad de su trabajo en favor de la justicia social y el desarrollo en el continente africano.
En esta presentación, analiza el desarrollo histórico de ACORD y de la primera fase del Programa Panafricano (2003-2005), rescatando tanto los errores cometidos como los conocimientos y las lecciones adquiridas. Se detiene en el cambio producido en la agenda internacional debido a la inclinación del interés hegemónico en favor de la seguridad, muchas veces a costa de la democracia; en el comercio internacional, cuyos intereses actuales entran en contradicción con lo acordado en las definiciones de los Objetivos del Milenio; en los problemas pendientes tales como SIDA, desigualdad de género, pobreza y exclusión.
Finalmente, se adentra en las líneas fundamentales del Programa Panafricano para el período 2006-2010.
